Coming from across the country to attend BGSU, I don't regret it for a second. I chose bg because I knew that this school would provide me with the whole college experience I had been looking for, unlike the small private schools out where I'm from. The faculty has provided me with amazing help in planning out my future thus far and the people I have met are driven and good students, but also know how to have a good time. Yes, Ohio is freezing in the winter. and yes, there is lots of farm land. However, if you join on campus organizations I doubt you will sit in your room and be bored unlike schools where everyone goes home on the weekend. BG is in the works of updating a lot of their dorms so within the next 5 or so years I can see the campus aesthetics improving a lot too. Obviously, college is what you make of it so if you're not willing to put yourself out there and try new things then no you're not going to like BG but probably not any other college either. The difference in BG is its big enough to not get bored but small enough to not feel like you're nobody.
