Lake Forest College has a wealth of opportunities for undergraduate students. The pre-med program was the draw to me for LFC, and I felt well advised on preparing for and getting into medical school on my first attempt. The school is small, but on the flip side of that you make many close and long lasting friendships. Many of our classmates still keep in touch as friends 25 years later, which I cannot say for my siblings and friends who went to larger colleges and universities. It was challenging at times to transition from a small liberal arts college to the largest medical school in Illinois (UICOM) but I wouldn't trade my 4 years at LFC for anything.

As for athletes, the Athletic Director Jackie Slaats has steered the college to an entirely new level for division III, as is evident in the success of the sport programs and the expansion of the sports center. Coach Mike Dau also desires credit for being a link from the past to the present. I played sports at LFC all 4 years and they are some of my fondest memories.
