Major: Business - Management and Administration (This Major's Salary over time)
This College, or University as it now is has so much potential, but FALLS ON ITS FACE! Here at Maranantha students can receive a great education in the majority of majors offered but there is a consistsnt amount of teachers who are a JOKE. Instructors should never be consistantly late to class by 10 minutes, and then never even teach anything. It should not be possible for a dilligent student who reads the quiz reading material to have an F average. Most of the teachers such as the bible, history, or business are absolutely exceptional, but you will have the misfortune of running into HORRID teachers in almost every possible major. Some of those teachers that are bad are the Microsoft office, English, or math instructors. The absolute best in the college is Also the absolute worst, the people. You will make some of the best life-long friends on earth, but the majority of the friends leave as soon as soon as they get the chance. The worst thing is the atmospere and the higher-ups. Almost all the students are required to live on campus, but the leadership in these dorms is really bad. All of the dorm supervisors are really bad as well. They (especially Spurgeon and Leland dorms) are not interested in your well-being, but instead they hide in their little apartments and only come out when they absolutely have to. They focus on the rules and upholding them to a religious level, even ridiculous ones such as not walking on the grass, or not watching movies. I have witnessed some of the dorm supes insult students to the point of having to be told by other students that they were in the wrong. The administration is blind and ignorant to the students would like in a university. They are confused by the increasing number of freshman who are unsatisfied with the experience. Male Students are required to wear khakis, ties, and dress shoes until dinner is over, even in negative 10 weather with the 20mph wind. Female students experience even worse restrictions. They are required to wear skirts until 3 pm in these blizzards! Students are required to go to the sad excuse of chapel 5 days a week, church every time offered on Sunday and Wednesday, as well devos 3 nights a week for a whopping 14 times. Students are required to go to 2 of the 3 fine arts events. These events are the music events that usually last for 2 hours each time and they bore you to tears or sleep whichever comes first, and then they will try to give you demerits if you fall asleep, are on your phone, or even if you bring a water bottle into the event. The demerits received for doing these are comparable to making out or skipping church. Chapel is incredibly boring especially if the president is speaking, and you will get demerits for sleeping in it even though 1/3 of the people sleep anyway. The penalty for demerits results in fines owed to the school (of course) and even upon expulsion they expext you to pay fines!! This school could be soooo much better than it is and until they decide to fix the main problems they will see a steady decrease in students. FOCUS ON THE STUDENTS, NOT the MONEY AND THE RULES!
