I am not sure I completely understand what you mean by the course will be removed. I know the school gives 11 weeks to complete a course and then 2 weeks grace period after which you get an I (incomplete). That status remains for a year. I never had to use up to a year for a course (4-5 months was my tops) so I never encountered a removal. Did you email to confirm? When I got my initial "I" I freaked out and frantically contacted the school. They allayed my fears and provided me with the response I gave you. I'm sorry you had to go through that. I must confess, I had good experiences most of the time with the folks, but I also had a couple of bad experiences. But then, when is that not the case :) |

If your considering UMT beware. They are a great school, but the correspondence could be a lot clearer. They advertise as a military friendly school with a liberal policy on course completion. True, but they will lead you on to believe that you have a chance to complete your course work when your military commitments are out of the way. (like deploying) They tell you when you are able to, you can log into blackboard and complete your course. What they don't tell you is that they will remove the course from blackboard without warning. When you contact the school to fix the problem you are then hit with the bad news. Since the course has been removed from blackboard, you will have to pay for the course again in order to complete it, then you can request you grade to be changed. So let me get this right, I have to pay double the amount for the course when you never warned me? A very disappointing experience I hope they can fix. instead of sending a email with "Unfortunately we can not…"
