Please do NOT go here. As someone who has worked at the school and attended as a student I cannot warn you enough. The students are rude and self righteous. You will find some people with great qualities who will be life long friends but the majority of what you will run into are snobs. The faculty do not care about you. You might run into a new faculty member who comes here with the best intensions to help students and care about them, but I assure you once that faculty member has been here a while they will turn and become angry and depressed…that's what this college does to people. The administration is absolutely insane and they are discouraging to their faculty and students (this is why your professors are the way they are). The education sucks. There are a few departments that are really great here but the majority of them lack in opportunity and content. There are no major clubs or programs to become a part of which sucks if you are really passionate about your major. The financial aid department is awful! The first year they will offer you a financial aid package that seems too good to be true…IT IS!! You may decide to go to ENC because they are giving you the best financial aid, I assure you this will not last. You may think that you will get the same package for all four years…You WON'T. They will find some reason to minimize how much you get in scholarship and all that and you will end up in tons of debt! They will cheat you out of extra loan money that you could use for a living allowance because they will add on all these random fees. If you do go here make sure you are constantly checking your myenc account and looking at your financial aid. Because you may be one of the unfortuante ones who ends up with a huge bill at the end that you didn't even know about!! CRAZY!

One thing I can say that they do well is the upkeep of the campus. It really is a beautiful campus. The trees, flowers, and landscape is just gorgeous! I wish the atmosphere of the school matched!

They also have great community outreach. They really do some great things for several different charities and they pull together to help when they can. However that is only one department of ENC and if you go to another college I am sure you can find the same opportunities for outreach.

Sorry this is sooo negative but I truly don't want anyone else to suffer the way I have at this school. They don't deserve your money, time, or hard work. The school will drain you.
