I would absolutly never reccommend this school to anyone, regardless for the reason. Fortis then known to me as central florida college, did not help aide me in completing my program as i payed for. The medical assistant program i paid for was roughly 13,000 i paid off that amount in 5 years and after graduating i moved to New Jersey and was never set up to take my state test appropriately. After contacting the better business bureu becasue of the matter fortis contacted me once to ask why i was not set up for the state test. After that i was not contacted again which oi assumed they would not set me up for the state test in New Jersey. All my information was updated with them and the AAMA website. Until current date i followed up and made the arrangements myself and asked for reimbursement, The director for the medical assistant program said they paid for the test in 2010 and never contacted my for my test date and i lost the opportunity to take the test and now they dont care to reimburse me at this time and date 2015. So they are only interested in getting people to sign up for the program and have no interest further more. Unless you stay on top of EVERYTHING the program should offer to a student you will be left in the gutter as i was. Ihad to pay extra out of pocket to set up my own testing date 10 years later! Which in an education institution is highly unprofessional. Im not a slacker in any sense, i am extremely organize, the only excuse from the director for the medical assistant program was in 2010 it was much diffcult to set a student up for the state exam, and now they have made it easier so basically i got lost in the loop and was NEVER notified properly to take the state test. A phone call to update me or email would have properly been routed to me or even a letter to my apartment at the time in 2010.
