To anyone considering SATC,

Salina Area Technical College is NOT an accredited school as their brochure claims. Course work taken in the Construction program will NOT transfer to an institution that is accredited, which offers a Construction Degree. Also, the claims of starting salaries made by SATC, is grossly over rated. The instructor is not a licensed contractor, and due to his history can't get one. He is loud, vulgar, insulting, and where he learned to frame a house is beyond me. He does not give a damn about your safety, all he cares about is the students making the school look good. This instructor does not have a good rep out in the field. Lately, SATC has been partnering with other schools so SATC students can transfer their credits. Rumor has it that they are not going to be accredited. Don't waste your time or money. If you wish to learn how to do the job right, and to become a Construction professional, then go to an accredited institution. Don't believe me, call some Universities which offer Construction, and find out for yourself. It's not only the Construction program, but other trades offered at SATC too. Do your homework! Be fully informed before going to any school, and make sure it's the best place for your chosen profession. Finally, make sure it is accredited, because It DOES make a difference.

I hope this help, and good luck!
