Westmont is an amazing, one-of-a-kind place in which you don't even begin to truly see how amazing it us until you actually go there. Everyone is SO friendly—the people—the staff, students, professors, custodians, cafeteria people, you name it. I've never been in an environment where every single staff member—no matter who they are—wants to see you succeed. They want to challenge you and push you to your limits—but are the first to help when you need it. I've definitely found I've grown tremendously as a person in just a single year—it's quite incredible. Of course, there are a few downsides—as there are at any school. Given that it's a Christian institution, it can be a little closed-minded. Granted—it's actually pretty "liberal" for a school of it's type; but if you're the type of student that is about "non-Christian" things, you might have a hard time fitting in with the majority of the student body. I'm simply saying that because I've seen it first hand. Otherwise, I think the student body is incredibly friendly, caring, and it's pretty easy to make friends just about anywhere. Also, the campus location is a little convenient—so you either have to bring a car or take the Westmont Shuttle (which runs a little inconventiently), but it's nothing that any of us can't adjust to. Bottom line is, I love Westmont and am so proud to be there. It's truly a great place with great people and I think it can and will leave a lasting impact on just about anyone's life.
