If you want to learn a trade, Ranken is an okay school for the price. But stay AWAY from the dorms. Rooms are incredibly expensive and the residential life director, LaTrina Rogers is completely unapproachable with any problems, such as roommate issues or questions about upcoming "events". Speaking of events, she has openly stated that the number of events hosted for residents has been reduced significantly in recent years. The events were free for students, as the price was worked into the price of the room. However, as the number of events has gone down, the price has not. If you want to get online at all while living in the dorms, I wish you luck. For all the money you're paying to live there, none of it is going towards a good internet connection. If you're lucky, you'll share a modem with 7-10 other people, all with their own wireless devices eating up the bandwidth, and only two wall ports for wired connections, which is still incredibly slow. 0/10 experience in the dorms at Ranken.
