Major: Electrical Engineering (This Major's Salary over time)
The EE school is worthless. Atlanta and the state of Georgia has no industry whatsoever that will employ you after you graduate. All the jobs in Georgia are for computer science and programming not electrical engineering. The majority of controls jobs go to graduates of DeVry, ITT tech, Ranken, etc, or go to very experienced northerners who constantly migrate south for the weather or get transfers. Also, unique to Tech, EE's are bared from all programming courses in the CS school, at least back in '87 when I graduated, I was not allowed to take C++, or any programming other than fortran. This was devastating to my employment. So many EE jobs are asking for C++ and I was not allowed. Tech should be a college of last resort if you cannot get into some northern industrial school.
