Do not be drawn in to ISU by it's perceived "small-campus" feel. It is a small campus with large campus problems. Do not expect to be able to get anything done with the administration without first getting a handful of wrong answers and being sent between a plethera of different offices. Also, the mood of a lot of the staff and students is very depressing. The instructors (if you find the right ones) are the exception to this rule. By all means stay away from the HIST 300 instructor and do anything possible to get into Dr. Lay's english courses.
