Major: Neuroscience/Cognitive Science (This Major's Salary over time)
Although a podunk university, the faculty is there specifically to teach. I felt the classes outside of my major were mainly blow-offs, but the neuroscience classes were quite helpful since professors weren't "too important" to talk to you. Getting involved in research in a good lab is a little more difficult than at top universities, but if you look around and talk to several professors you'll find a lab where people are willing to train you.
