Date: Jun 26 2005 Major: Electrical Engineering (This Major's Salary over time) Ummm. Georgia Tech. What a place. Love it or leave it. I left it.What I remember most - cram, cram, cram. Day and night. Got to be more in life than that. Little time for reflection of what courses/curriculum you are taking.I started out in electrical engineering. But it didn't take long for me to realize that an engineer I'm not. So I decided to switch to math/physics. However, even though I reached the level of taking courses in complex variables by my sophomore year I simply was NOT impressed with the teaching or the academic environment. And liberal arts? Oh man, I missed those so much. I wanted to take more literature and real history courses. Something NOT at Tech. So I decided to leave.I'd applied to a very well known liberal arts college (no, not in Ga) and transferred there for my jr year. And finally found what I was looking for. The professors in both math and physics were just as good as at Tech w/o the advere attitude. And explored topics in much more depth. And the liberal arts courses were outstanding. I graduated with honors with a degree in math and physics. I will say that I learned how to study at Tech. Do I wish I'd stayed at Tech? I could have. But to this day I can not answer that question. I loved where I graduated from. But you know, there is something about Georgia Tech …
