John Brown University is a spectacular college. Especially if you are looking to major in the arts or engineering, as those programs are some of the best here. No matter what program you pursue, though, the professors are incredibly approachable and helpful.

It's true; the caf food isn't entirely pleasant but they have a great sandwich station and salad bar. Plus, there's a cafe/grill in the student center if you get tired of the same ol' same ol'.

The classes are tough but doable. Expect to be challenged and even a little overwhelmed at times. But you come out of it with a great understanding of the material.

Going to a private Christian university, I was a little concerned about fitting in, as I don't "fit the mold." My family is not wealthy and I'm a little rough around the edges at first sight (with all my tattoos). But I have never felt more accepted than I do here. The majority of the students are friendly and the line between rich and poor just doesn't seem to exist. I have attended and visited other private Christian colleges and let me tell you, this is not the case everywhere. JBU is really something special.

This IS Christian university. Alcohol and such are strictly prohibited on campus. So if you're looking for a party school, you're looking in the wrong place. We do, however, have plenty of fun.
