After being out of school for several yearsPsychology
After being out of school for several years I have come to appreciated Westmont even more. I was not from a wealthy family and I put myself through Westmont with only $4,300 in student loans. While this was over 20 years ago it was still a lot of coin even then. I think I would have got lost in a State University…..just a number on the roll. Westmont gave me the opportunity to interact with the professors in a way I am sure would have been impossible at a state school. Faith and academics were integrated in a way that still serve me well today.

Question
No college is perfect.Super BrilliantEnglish
No college is perfect. With that in mind, I think Westmont is a wonderful school. It is extremely challenging but the profs get to know their students and that helps. Plus, you really do learn a lot if you put the effort in. Despite the fact that you *will* leave with questions and uncertainties, this school does deliver on its promise to grow you as a person and not just teach you facts. If you want a small, thoughtful Christian community to learn in, you should consider this. But know that you will not have the name prestige as a graduate and you will have a lot of debt. It's an investment, and that's not for everyone.

I'm from Syracuse New York, so the weather here in Santa Barbara is heavenly. I've also been pretty sheltered (went to a private Christian high school), so I love all the opportunities I have here. There are things that I would definitely change about Westmont, but for the most part, I love it here!
