Millikin University

The security is worthless... all they do is write tickets and drive around the whole 2 block wide campus... Oh, and they like to tow cars whenever (illegally).

Knowing what I now know, if I could start all over again, I definitely would not choose Millikin University as a science major who is interested in a graduate school other than med school. Millikin has a group of requisite classes called the Millikin Program of Student Learning (MPSL). The MPSL is designed to foster interdepartmental cooperation. All it accomplishes, however, is to take away time from the most important aspect of the undergraduate career, the major. If you come to Millikin, you will waste 12 credits (an entire semester) over the four years fulfilling MPSL requirements. This takes an immense amount of time away from your studies within your major. This is most hurtful to a science major that is not majoring in pre-medicine, as it will not be useful in getting you into a decent graduate school. Millikin's one redeeming aspect in science, is it's ability to get its pre-med majors into medical school. If you're not a premie though, I'd suggest going somewhere else.
