Not a positive experience for me at all. If I could do it over again, I would not go to this institution.

Don't go here.
Question
I transferred into this university to study TCMMar 29 2009Other
I transferred into this university to study TCM (emphasis on the "T"). It started out OK, but then the school orchestrated a coup and ousted our Asst. dean and placed a "yes" man in her place. This man, I will call "K", has no administrative experience and next to nothing in clinical experience. In essence we were mislead about the program, and fell prey to a bait and switch scam. The program I'm in has changed about 6 times, and now is on a biomedical path for med students and the like. The school itself is extremely unethical, from the top down through each department. There is no school spirit, because all the students are so miserable and fed up with the lack of quality of the institution. Students are threatened to comply with "unfair" and scrupulous demands. The students are not well prepared for board exams. I could write a book about why you should choose this school. If anyone has any questions PLEASE email me before April 24th, 2009. En fin, I don't endorse this school, and strongly recommend going out of state for acupuncture, or for chiropractic, Palmer. Don't waste your money here!

National University of Health Sciences used to beMar 16 2009Other
National University of Health Sciences used to be considered a highly reputable chiropractic school, formerly known as National College of Chiropractic. It recently has attempted to become an integrative and complementary med. school in 2006. However, it is failing miserably at it. It is dissappointing to be part of such a truly disintegrated and disorganized school, often deemed by students as a "circus ring." Many students came to National for an integrative experience, yet it is anything but that. Perhaps National should just go back to being a chiropractic school and stop trying to be something they're not, then again, as a chiropractic student, it seems like they're trying to be like an allopathic med school. I am at a loss for what it is they are trying to accomplish here, other than just being phony. The administration is the source of all the problems, and seeing a new reign over the school might solve a great portion of the issues. My advice is to not believe anything they tell you, it is all lies to get you to enroll in their phony integrative school, aka: crappy allopathic-chiro college
