I realize there's politics in academia, but at Oakton they let their petty, internal politics affect the students. Good teachers leave because of the BS. Bad students excel - not because they work hard or produce good work, but because they know they can get away with BS. All you have to do is contest your grade and the administration caves because they're afraid of getting sued. Students are disruptive, abusive and rude to teachers in class, but the Administration won't take any action because they fear litigation. It's really so sad.

This is my second degree, the first being from Bradley university, Photography major. Now, Im taking pre-req's for a masters in science program. The education you will receive at Oakton is great. The campus is comfortable and full of artwork and plants. The students are not rude or immature. Out of the 10 classes i have taken there, 8 of them have been fantastic!

I like the people, and teachers. The school was always clean and well maintained. Worth the money, whose really cheaper? Overall, a quality education.
