If you want a place where one on one time with professors is normal, spiritual life is important to all faculty, and you always feel part of a community, COME HERE. I would never go anywhere else. This school is such a blessing.

The last three years at Olivet have been instrumental in shaping me spiritually, academically, and socially. After visiting the campus following my junior year of high school I knew that Olivet was a place I could grow into the man I wanted to become. I've put myself out there and had gotten involved with student council and a ministry mentoring kids at a local middle school.

I've been challenged with some of the upper level communications classes that I've taken for my public relations concentrations, but the professors have always been willing to help when I make the effort to tell them that I need it. Although it would be naive to say I'll use everything that I've learned here, I can say that I've learned how I learn best and have a great foundation and business knowledge to succeed after Olivet.

As far as social life on campus, I've had the opportunity working through student council to help plan events around campus including a beginning of the year Block Party, Ollie's Follies, Speed Dating, Murder Mystery Party, and many more.

A quick explanation of Ollie's Follies because it is one of the best attended and one of my personal favorite events at ONU. Ollie's Follies takes place the first two weeks of school and pits all of the classes(freshman vs. sophomore vs. junior vs. senior) against each other. The classes rack up points based on how well they fair in sports competitions including: flag football, sand volleyball, dodgeball, ultimate frisbee, and softball, a wacky games night which includes tug-o-war, chugging contests, tube game (pile of tubes in the center of a square and several people from each class run to the center to rip them away from the other classes and drag the tubes and whoever may be holding on, back to their corner), and other wacky games. Ollie's Follies culminates with a variety show where each class creates a video based on their class theme for Ollie's Follies (This year it's regions of the US: Midwest, East, South, West), and an onstage performance. You aren't required to be apart of Ollie's Follies, but over half of the students participate and it makes for a great way to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones leading into the school year.

Not only are the events great, but the people at Olivet are great too. I've met some guys and girls that I'll continue to keep in touch with long after graduation.Olivet is a fantastic school filled with great people who care for you and want to see you succeed in all areas of your life.
Friendliness: A+, Useful Schoolwork: B+

Olivet is a great school to receive an education. When they say "Education with a Christian purpose," they mean it. Many students like to complain about the "strictness" of Olivet.Well, that can only mean one thing-you did not research the school thoroughly.
Preparedness: A+, Reputation: A+
