For god's sake, do not come to OlivetNot so brightNursing
For god's sake, do not come to Olivet Nazarene University. Their nursing program is a scam trying to rip student off money in the name of evangelicalism (Nazarene faith). There professors have no character and faith other than wanting to be at the school for easy paycheck. Olivet does good marketing to get you enrolled and after you are enrolled, they treat you badly. For the FNP program, they do not have preceptors even though they tell you otherwise to get you enrolled. It is very difficult to find one as the school refuses to help and direct you. I live in the Oakbrook area and have heard the same thing about their ABSN program so I can assure you that things mentioned in this powerpoint is accurate.

You will be frustrated broke and maybe notQuite BrightNursing
You will be frustrated broke and maybe not have a degree if you attend ONU. Well over 70% DO NOT graduate from the accelerated BNS on time. Over half get kicked out by making less than 77% on two classes. Faculty are arrogant and mean. Program is unorganized and always blamed on student. NCLEX scores are so low they try to kick everyone out. No teaching is done. There is no help of benefit of the doubt for anything. Faculty seem to despise students. Go anywhere else! Only 5 of my cohort of 38 finished with me. Most were kicked out for reasons out of their control. The poor reputation is not worth the money or the heart ache.

Olivet has been an awful experience for bothNot so brightNursing
Olivet has been an awful experience for both staff and students alike. Many staff members at this school are strange and Godly. They take God and religion so seriously yet they themselves don't follow any values. If you say something bad about Nazarene faith (even students at this Godly place will raise their eyebrows if you complain about Nazarene faith) or do not act according to religious believes, they take it so seriously. There staff members only preach but they do not follow godly values themselves. I have seen staff go through student's materials and accounts without their permission, they blame students outright for everything even though they do not teach anything, and they try fail students for no reason on exams to prove a point.
