I've wanted to say this about Rock ValleyPsychology
I've wanted to say this about Rock Valley ever since I heard the football program was stripped away from us. Not sure if this is the right spot for this, but even if you don't know about RVC, you will want to go there after reading this.Rock Valley has the world to offer, take it or leave it. If you take it, and use it effectively and as a stepping stone to get you to where you ultimately want to be, then how does it not have the world to offer. The main reason I wanted to write this is because I am a graduate from RVC and a very proud alum of the Rock Valley Golden Eagles football team. We helped each other get good grades, we went into battle together. Your first thought:They never won, who cares. Well I can first hand tell you that becuase of everyone of the coaches and players, I easily took the world. Please forgive some of the spelling of names. Coaches Warren, Z, Detman, Smith, and the wide receivers coach whom I can not leave out despite the embarrassment of not being able to remember his name, and coach/trainer stoupe: You all made me who I am today, I would not be here if I did not have the opportunity to play football under you. They got a very diverse group from all over the country want to hang out with each other all of the time: Everything we did, there about 40 of us. I will defend RVC anytime becuase of all of you. People look down at you for playing football at and even going to RVC. That was a great program, it sadens me to think somebody wants it gone. I am a living example of the potential of that football program, and I was with that crew of coaches in their second and third years. You cutting it short now is only depriving people of bing great. The players: short and sweet, best football players I know, craziest, best people I want to remember. Academically, I remember my teachers here more than I remember my university teachers. Public Speaking, Bob Betts, speach teacher could make public speaking the 9th most feared thing around instead of the first. I hate hearing anything negative about RVC. Next time you park and walk to building 1 or 2 and even hear RVC come up in conversation, use that time to think about where this stepping stone could take you. The world is yours, well only half...as you've heard, I got the other half.

If you live in Northern Illinois and wantQuite BrightUndecided
If you live in Northern Illinois and want to get an Associates degree, RVC is the perfect school. RVC is a high quality community college. Low price and pretty high quality teaching. The teachers all care for the students/material. Also, the class sizes are small (30-50 students), so you get a more personal experience. RVC is a great place to try out different classes and decided what kind of career you'd like to pursue. I'd recommend anyone looking to start college to look into a community college first. RVC is one of the best CCs.
