Rider University

For my overall experience at Rider University, it has been absolutely sensational. The professors and academic advising have fulfilled my needs as an undergraduate student, and were great with around-the-clock communication. Additionally, Rider University makes long strides to help students gain internship opportunities through networking events and career development workshops. With comprehensive course work and professors who are willing to help students achieve, Rider continues to surprise me on a daily basis with their expertise.

2nd Year Male -- Class 2019

Individual Value: A+, Social Life: B

I was in the Graduate Level Teacher Preparation program and therefore paid graduate student prices for classes that were really just undergraduate level. Ouch.

I had mostly adjunct faculty for the program when, at these prices, really should have had fully qualified professors. One professor was waiting to be approved for medical leave and later arrested for online sex sting! Needless to say he had little motivation while in class. The poor replacement did a fine job but was unprepared to take over the class. All this at a cost of $1500 per student.

Lastly, the instructors continuously told us career changers that schools would be eager to higher us because we have 'life experience' and are 'older'. Simply, not true and not proven as far as I can tell. The staff was always friendly but my experience at Rider and subsequent job prospects (depite my excellent grades) has not been worth the nearly $13,500 I spent for the five classes and student teaching experience.

2nd Year Female -- Class 2010

Faculty Accessibility: B+, Surrounding City: D

I am currently attending Rider University and living on campus. I enjoy all of my classes and like how it is close to my home, i am a student who goes home every weekend but that is because there is nothing to do here. if you think you are coming to Rider and are going to party you are wrong. There are few fraternities and they never throw parties (and if they do they are dry). All of the parties are off campus and thrown by the sports houses but only on weekends and everyone ends p with tickets so there is no point. i plan to commute the next semester because i am tired of sitting in my dorm bored.But besides the life for students i have no problems with this school, the professors are nice and all facilities are nice except most of the residence halls.
