I do not regret my experience at FranciscanBrightHistory/Histories (art history/etc.)
I do not regret my experience at Franciscan at all. It was one of the best things that has happened in my life. That having been said, it is anything but perfect. It is a VERY Catholic school, sometimes at the expense of honest academic inquiry. The humanities programs are pretty strong generally, but have room for improvement. The philosophy department tends to be biased towards Hildebrand and Aquinas, but there are notable exceptions to this. The programs in the sciences are somewhat lacking, however.

The student body is very friendly, more so than at other universities I have attended, and tends to be politically conservative, though no more than most other campuses tend to be politically liberal. Financial aid is generally lacking, so be prepared to take on a substantial debt load before graduation. On the upside, the cost of living in Steubenville is dirt cheap for those who live off campus.

Question
I do not regretBrightCommunications
I do not regret coming to Franciscan University at all. There was great community there and it helped my spiritual life a lot. However I do regret being a Communications Arts major there. The program was lacking in many ways and I don't feel that I got a whole lot out of it.

Question
Don't go here if you want to majorQuite BrightEducation
Don't go here if you want to major in anything aside from Theology/ Philosophy. Over 50% of the Education professors will treat you condescendingly. Franciscan will hold you to extremely high moral standards, but it won't expect the faculty or staff to even try to live up to the same expectations. For example I was harassed/ verbally assaulted by a professor; the school did absolutely nothing. However if I had done the same I would have been expelled. Oh and if you have any financial aid problems they will tell you to "go pray about it." That really helps me pay for school, instead of helping me find scholarships to apply for.
