The information that is provided during Open House & orientation is all a lie! They talk the program up ex: state of the art equipment & kitchen, trained instructors, that as a Culinary Arts graduate with an Associates degree with serve safe certificate, will make a lot of money. Most, if not all of the kitchen equipment was outdated or broken, not enough equipment to go around. Most of the instructors had never worked in the field of culinary arts or instructed these type of classes. I was told they have a "job placement program", upon graduating, the places I was sent to for jobs were not hiring or once they found out that I graduated from YBI, they didn't want to hire me once they found out I graduated from YBI. Instead of only paying $30,000 for tuition, came out with a $45,000 student loan I wasn't expecting & when I called the student loan people, they told me I needed to contact the school. I spoke with someone in their finance office & they gave me the run around, I basically got no where. Called BBB and Consumer Protection & was told it's "Buyer's Beware" kind of thing so I have no recourse.

2nd Year Male -- Class 2012

This school is a joke! I AM WARNING YOU DO NOT ATTEND THIS SCHOOL. I refrain from even calling it a college. The teachers do not know what they are talking about most of the time. And as the other reviews state the owners are in this for the money. I do have to say there are a few teachers here that are nice. But they should be a different schools. This is not a college. They treat the students here as if they were in 2nd grade. They allow you to be late, not show for a few days, and turn in your work late. If anyone has ever been to a college that doesn't work out there. They do have a attendence policy, and they do follow that, but if you are a special person, or have notes then they let you right back into the class room no questions. I am a good student with a 4.0. I attend class when I am supposed to, and do not complain when I have work to do. This school however has taught me nothing. I feel like I have wasted money and time coming here, but I am over half way done at this point so I just want to finish. I would never ever recommend anyone to come to this school. If you are considering it I would strongly think again. Anywhere is better then this school, this place is a joke. I do not even think it will look good on my resume to say I attended this school. I am trying to save people the money and time I have wasted, DO NOT COME HERE.

1st Year Female -- Class 2013

I have been in this school for a year, the school sucks. They are not there for the students they are there to receive your money.Its a family owned business out to make money off of you. To be honest, I would not recommend anyone to go to this school. They are not there for their students they're there for your money. Also none of your credits transfer to any of the local colleges. The only schools that except your credits is Eastern and Central. They make up policies as the terms go on. This school is not worth the money I have to pay to go there. If I had the chance to go back a year I would not be attending this school.
