Positive Negative Neutral Advice
My brother just graduated this year from BJ,BrightNursing
My brother just graduated this year from BJ, I will graduate next year, and my younger brother is about to start in the fall. I would say that BJU's nursing school is THE BEST academically that I know of. The hospitals we go to for clinical "sing our praises" for the students and grads that they get. About 3 months beofre he graduated, my brother had 3 job offers at 2 differents hospitals! During the summers I have worked in a hospital in NJ and the people I work with all compliment me on my critical thinking and are pleasently suprised of the amount of knowledge that I have already. I am daily amazed at the amount of knowledge I can apply to my patients on a daily basis, and how I can "see things" that my nurses miss. The academics at BJ are very challenging, but coming through it all I can see my faith and trust in God bringing me through. I have also been blessed in having a GREAT group of solid, growing Christian friends. COming home for the summer is such a letdown because I have my dead-in-the-water friends here. I miss my buddies! The friends you make at BJ are your best friends for life. The rules don't usually bother me. Sometimes it is frustrating to have to abide by some rules when I feel that I have "extenuating circumstances". For example, my boyfriend (soon to be fiance) is a marine currently in Iraq. Before he left the only time he was able to call me to talk because of his schedule, my schedule and the time difference was after 11pm. The rule is that you are not allowed to talk on cell phones after 11pm. This was very frustrating for me to realize this, I felt that I was being deprived of a "right". After a long talk with my boyfriend the issue was resolved, and I am better off from the decision I made to follow that rule. As with any rule at BJU, I needed to personally decide to follow it. I am not to follow a rule just because it is in the book, but because I am mature enough to handle following the regulations, and I am open to being out of my "comfort zone". I have seen many people get expelled, but find myself learning from their mistakes. I will not commit an "expulsion offense" not because the Dean's say I may not, but rather I will not do certain things because I am developing the personal restaint and self-control in my life to resist doing those certain things.

Question
Graduating from Bob JonesEducation
Graduating from Bob Jones University has opened up many more doors than I thought it would as an undergrad. It was instrumental in gaining my two teaching positions and continues to be a positive reference point in graduate school. I would certainly recommend it to a prospective student.

Question
I think BJU is a good school for hardBusiness - Management and Administration
I think BJU is a good school for hard
working and disciplined students that love the Lord and love being with other Christians (teacher, boyfriend, girlfriend, general friends). I have had friends from this university after I graduated and they have contacted me to just have fun with even if we live in different states they have come to see me or called me or e-mailed me. I was popular as a student at BJU and really enjoyed meeting lots of the 5,000 kids on the campus. As with any university, some kids and teachers are great and some will

dissappoint you, but as a whole, most I enjoyed. The rules are very strict, but get a grip, as in the work world, these are the rules of this university, and as students, that is what each student that is enrolled agreed to. It was an easy to go into the professional working environment because I already knew how to dress up and dress correctly and my education from BJU did make it easy

to be the best at the companies I worked for. I was always looked upon as an excellent employee and well

respected. The point of the university is to prepare you
for life and your career, and hopefully to bring glory to
God in all you say and do. Personally, the university to
me was a peaceful place. The grounds are beautifully kept,
the teachers really do care for you, and the students are
from many different states which is interesting too. It's not perfect, but I have never seen a university that has been rated as such anyway. Life is what you make it.

Why did they not put Bob IV in charge to be the next
president of the school? Maybe the students that just graduated can answer that question.
