God puts us inEducation
God puts us in certain places at certain times. When one is at BJU he is there for a purpose if he truley wants God leading in his life. If God wants him elsewhere he will be there.

Question
BJU is a wonderful place to grow, learn,Quite BrightEducation
BJU is a wonderful place to grow, learn, and be challenged both academically and spiritually. It is high quality education wrapped in a Biblically sound worldview. I loved it so much that I stayed on to grad school and am in my first year of getting my master's in Counseling. It is definitely not for everyone, but one should visit before they come to their own conclusions.

Question
I am still enrolled at BJU,Not so brightOther
I am still enrolled at BJU, and I am a non-ministerial major, and will graduate with a BA within one year of submitting this commentary on the BJU experience.

First of all, the people who attend and work at BJU are not perfect, so if you are expecting to both work and learn with infallible people, just remember, your not perfect either! Enough said.

In truth, there is only one time, during my freshman year at BJU, that there was ever racial tension/bigotry in the classroom. I would say more on the matter, but I do not want to be kicked out of school. Enough said.

Beside the above mentioned, in truth, my overall experience at BJU has been very good! The dean of men was always approachable, and willing to lend an ear to all concerns . . . he even invited me to stop by, just to chat when I had the inclination!

My boss's on campus were always good to me! My co-workers, were always consistently good to me too! Staff and faculty are REAL people who are concerned about me. It's AWESOME. I absolutley love them to pieces!

I know that there are a lot of rumors about the school, but regardless what the politicians, media, blogs, and individuals have to say, BJU really is a GREAT place to learn! If you want to grow in the Lord, if you want to develop Christ-like character, you must be willing to consider what the institution has to teach!

On the otherhand, I do agree with a majority of things that the university teaches (points of view on doctrine, history, etc.), but NOT everything. It is healthy to have individual perspectives on such issues, but one should never anyone agree metally to a matter without individual consideration. Then again, it is rare when any two believers agree on all aspects of any given matter . . . .

I always consider their point of view--only fools shun wise & godly counsel, reagardless of who it may be from!
