FMU sucks plain and simple. Not so brightEducation
FMU sucks plain and simple. I went for one semester and transfered to CofC never to return. Florence is the most boring hick town ever except for the crime if you call that exciting. The staff doesn't want to help you and the administration will do anything to save face. Look at how they shamefully spam this board by writing fake reviews. The faculty are mostly (not all) a bunch a flunkies who couldn't make it in the business world or that of academia. The reputation of a degree from FMU is worthless in SC. I live in Charleston with my cousin who graduated from FMU years ago and still can't get a job in her field. HR laugh at the degree and throw it in the trash. Save your money and go to a real school like CofC, CCU, or Clemson... don't blow it on a useless experience and aworthless piece of paper.

My advice, if you are in get out ASAP.AverageChemistry
My advice, if you are in get out ASAP. If you are looking for a school, stay as far as you can from this place. This school is terrible. There is hardy anything to do on campus. To survive those long and lonely weekends filled with boredom, everyone wound up crawling into all sorts of bad habits. Since fmu accepts anyone who can barely write his name, you end up with too many students who have no interest in learning. They are usually drug addicts, pimps, and prostitutes. When I read that in this forum, I was shocked because I wasn’t expecting anything like that in a college. Then, I verified that with my friend who had been at fmu for three years and ended up transferring to Clemson U. She told me things about fmu that I couldn’t have ever imagined.

I am seeking advice!!! Yesterday, I went toNot so brightBiology
I am seeking advice!!! Yesterday, I went to my adviser and he was a complete idiot. He had no idea about the programs. He didn’t know about the requirements or anything at all. He kept repeating the same thing over and over. When I asked him questions, he had no answers. Everything is “that’s next!” Why is this guy teaching? He seemed to be a complete idiot to a point I thought I was on the show “Candid Camera”. Did anyone here have that kind of experience? I am thinking about writing a letter to the President. This guy may be on drugs and needs to be fired. Also, I know there are many problems with this school and I would like to do something about it besides just writing here. Thank you.
