PROS: Brookhaven is very affordable. They have a very tasty Subway which emits the auromas of fresh baked bread through the student building. It is very easy to get involved on campus with some cool groups and lots of service learning opportunities. Professors are pretty down to earth. The campus has a cool art gallery (F building) and a good art department. One of the best things about Brookhaven is the large amount of international students and teachers.
CONS: Brookhaven was a good short-term experience, but I could never be one of the people that attends Brookhaven for four or five years. If the horrible dark brick buildings and drab closetlike classrooms aren't enough, Brookhaven also features "portables" for its Early High School Program. Yes, that's right, high school kids (mostly hispanic) flood the campus and it's rather uncomfortable to see them awkwardly making out on campus. Lo and behold, Brookhaven education bares an eerie resemblance to high school education. Basically no one cares there, students nor faculty. Students are lazy because they attend Brookhaven. Professors are lazy because they teach at Brookhaven. My professors ranged from sleep provoking to mentally insane.
Perceived Campus Safety: A+, Faculty Accessibility: F
