Positive Negative Neutral Advice
There are definitely pros and cons to Moody.
There are definitely pros and cons to Moody. My experience was overall positive, but I can definitely see where other people's frustrations come from.

1. I agree that there definitely is an atmosphere of "spirituality" that can feel very fake at times. I really do have a good relationship with the Lord, but I still found it kind of creepy and fake when random people would ask "how is you walk with the Lord?". I think a big reason why it seems fake is because people feel self conscious at a Bible School and feel like they need to "prove" they are Christians out of insecurity. Not in their faith, but so that they feel like they are at the same level as their peers. Just what I chalked it up to.

2. Yeah, no drinking. And people can blow tiny things waaay out of proportion. Oh no, you like horror movies? That's rated "r"? Again, this isn't everyone, but there is a vocal group that felt like they needed to judge.

I recommend finding non-Moody housing. I lived with a bunch of Moody students, but we rented our own house and didn't have to deal with those awful "house rules". People started coming to our house to get away from all the rules. Not that we lived "in sin" or anything, we just trusted everyone to act like adults.

Good things:
1. There are some fantastic professors at Moody! I loved a lot of my classes. Not very practical for real life, looking back, but great for personal growth.

2. Spokane is great! Lots to do, fun events, great churches and beautiful mountains.
