Before that though, we had to establish my residency. The lady in the office was unhelpful and the paperwork they needed made little to no sense. They said they couldnt find her voter's registration in the computer under her name, but a month later we recieved a voter's package in the mail under her name.
My first day of school was annoying. The halls and stairwells smell rediculously musty so I have a headache by the time I get to class. When it's raining, they let all the smoking folk stand by the doors so all their smoke gets into the school. The people who work the cafeteria are rude and look bored and annoyed that you are purchasing food. The school is in rough shape, whichI understand is probably due to poor funding, but it is really disgusting. at least 90 percent of the stalls in the girls' bathrooms cannot stay shut on their own. Everything is about waiting in lines and getting things signed, etc.
The teachers I've had so far have been confusing, lazy, and unorganized. One of my teachers is constantly forgetting terms that he is supposed to teach us laughing it off and saying "ill tell you it tomorrow" (which he never does). My classes feel like a big waste of my time. I love school and normally am excited to go to class, but here I have to force myself. My other teacher taught a punnett square the wrong way so all the students were confused.
One of my teachers does rock though--if you ever get the chance, take a dance class with Anita.Im not sure if things will get better or not, but I'm definately considering other schools right now.
The faculty at this school is horrid! The admins and advisers are bad and the register/admissions/cashier and financial aid don't even attempt to look like they enjoy their job. It shows when you talk to them and have to deal with them tell you bad news (which will be every time you visit them).
The school is old and needs to be remodeled and the only new parts are the 5th floor and the register/admissions/cashier and financial aid office. Everything else is old and gross looking. This school always gives me a unclean feel walking in it. The bathrooms, I don't want to even mention besides the 5th floors. The elevator is always braking down and taking forever to fix. The library is old and outdated. There are many loud ghetto students that dont even bother to go to class and just hang around the lunch room being loud and even this on boy in my class that just shows up late, sits in the back of the room and blasts his ipod so loud the teacher could hear it. He doesnt even atttept to do a any school work, Instead he listens to his music in class when everyone is working. Now what kind of school would let a boy like this waste time by doing this? No one stops him, he just shows up whenever he wants to and does nothing. The other students are either foreign and studying here and local Seattle people that care to much about the clothes they wear and latest smart phones, I'm sure they are trust fund babies that don't pay a cent to go here. The other day while standing in line at the student cafe place, there was some homeless man looking at the baked goods that just walked off the street and right into the school (in the capitol hill area theres lots of homeless people) and no one stoped him. There is no security for this school which there should be! I wish I would have paid closer attention to the bad reviews of this school becuase those were the right ones imo.
