Date: Dec 19 2001 Major: Social Work (This Major's Salary over time) The BSW program at Edinboro University was excellent. I was given both the general and specific skills needed to succeed in this profession. The skills as well as the values and ethics that were a part of this program are treasured in the work place. I have found that employers who are hiring for any position dealing with people trust social workers to flourish and present a positive image of their organization. Imagine if every Customer Service professional you dealt with was a social worker :). This is what employers think about. As long as you are willing to take the lessons from Edinboro, this degree will open doors for you both in and out of the social work profession.I currently work at a Community College assisting students with the multitude of issues they face and the best advise I can give to high school students is that there is no obstacle that can prevent you from obtaining a college education. Most colleges today have a variety of services to assist all of their students. I have worked with students who were high school drop outs, GED recipients, as well as those who have graduated with IEPs and we have programs here that work for each of them. Choose a school that will use
your tuition money to help your fellow student.
