Carleton is a great school.  The work is sometimes overwhelming but that is usually only around finals.  Even when it seems overwhelming, it is very useful and there is almost no busy work at all.  Every assignment is important (so is going to class because many of the tests are based on class discussions and lectures).  The social life is great on campus.  There are parties every weekend and there are parties on weekdays too.  Usually you can find parties on Tuesdays, Wednsdays, or Thursdays.  In the Spring there's a party on one of the islands on campus every Wednsday.  The people are generally very friendly at Carleton and I love it there.
