Major: Other (This Major's Salary over time)
The Accreditation viewpoint is a very powerful and persuasive one. Don’t let anybody fool you this school is not accredited. This does not have to be a negative however; because the school is not accredited, it is allowed to follow the beliefs and standards that were set up by the founder without answering to an outside board. The downside is that you are not eligible for any federal funding and most scholarships will not be accepted. This does mean in some areas that there will be challenges upon graduation, however the learning and maturity that will occur (Emotional, Physical, and Spiritual) will far outweigh that of most public schools and put you a step above most others upon completion of your degree. The University Staff and family are here to help you in your daily life. Many times they go out of their way to help out somebody in need and take personal problems into consideration when things come up in classes. While many Faculty who are against the universities policies do not last long, this is to encourage unity in the family and to keep everybody on the same page.As a student you will find some Faculty/Staff that will test you and some who seem like they are doing everything they can to hinder you, however this is something that you will face more so in the Public arena and something that one must be ready for in the real world. The student population is in general rather friendly. There are quite a few clique and groups that people find themselves in which is often sad. To encourage unity and growth together the University from the beginning established Literary Societies that everybody must join. While participation in your individual society is not mandatory, it is a good idea if you want to make the most out of a college experience here. The rules are usually know and generally outlined in a pamphlet that Incoming Freshmen receive prior to their arrival on campus. If anybody has any questions about rules or regulations or why they are established please feel free to e-mail me.The university makes a point of enforcing these rules, and anybody not conforming to them will be asked to leave the school or face disciplinary action against them. At times this included blacklisting and can be detrimental to one’s education however in general it is a harmless demerit based system of punishment.Don’t be fooled, you will be expected to be at every class and be there on time, if you can’t handle that and want to go to class as you please, go somewhere else. You will also have to answer for where you are going and whom you are with. Many see this as back to the times with their parents and don’t look favorable upon it. The fact simply is that the University is responsible for each one of its students and feels that not only must it answer to the parents for your actions but to God.The University does support a non-denominational viewpoint; however, in recent years this viewpoint is still only shared by Fundamentalists and the large majority the University population comes from Fundamental Baptist Churches. As a student you will be preached at and the University will teach you what the individual teachers think on certain issues, however, they will also cause you to think for yourself and decide why you believe what you believe and where you stand on certain issues. The most important thing about choosing a University is not the culture or what others think but what you think and where you feel that you are being led.
