Samford is possesses a very pleasing environment. I feel safe 100% of the time. The beauty of the campus is almost indescribable. Social life at SU is lacking. If one is not in a fraternity/sorority, weekends spent on campus can be mind-numbing. All pre-college campus visits stress that only approximately 40% of students are involved in Greek life and that it's "no big deal if one doesn't participate." I would beg to differ. Frat/sor life definitely provides many more opportunities for social development. Professors are overall very willing to help students any way they can. (Study groups, office hours, even retakes on exams where the class performed poorly.) They truly want to see students succeed.
