founded in 1873, is a private university. Programs are offered
through the Blair School of Music, the College of Arts
and Science, the Peabody College, and the School of Engineering.
Its 330-acre campus is located in the University Center section
of Nashville. Vanderbilt is
comprised of ten undergraduate, graduate and professional schools situated on
330 acres. The university's compact academic geography is part
of what makes it so remarkable and balanced. This
close proximity means collaborations and partnerships are the rule at
Vanderbilt, rather than the exception. Civility and collegiality have
always distinguished Vanderbilt, an institution where people openly discuss and
debate ideas in an atmosphere of trust. Students learn
the importance of truly listening and learning from others, and
they leave the university carrying these qualities into the wider
world. Location/Contact VANDERBILT UNIVERSITY
