Francis Marion is a very open-minded University. They are always open to new ideas. They thrive off of students creativity. The academics here are a little hard. You really need to study, this is NO party school. The clubs and organizations are always welcoming new members. Florence is not a thriving metropolis but it has all of the essentials. It is the perfect school for students that went to a big high school because you almost have the same amount of people. You see the same people everyday and you get to know people better. You are a name not a number. But one bit of advice, FMU is easy to get into but hard to get out of. We have people here that are on a six year plan and seven year plan. You work your butt off to graduate from here. But its worth it.
