Embry Riddle Aeronautical University - Daytona Beach

Embry-Riddle has hurt me considerably financially and career-wise. I received a time-building flight instructor that cost me thousands during my private and waisted a semester. I then got a flight instructor during my instrument who taught me incorrectly and casued me some serious problems with my flight training and made me have to stay two terms after I was done with classes (of course I had to take extra classes to keep student loans from coming due). After I finally got a descent instructor I got through the program more smoothly. I received a token refund when I made some major complaints but it was only a couple thousand compared to the aprrox. $60,000 extra Embr-Riddle cost me. They made some major mistakes and have not even apologized. The university will do anything to cheat you out of your money and they do not care about quality. I am one of many stories like this. If Embry-Riddle were held financially responsible for their actions they would not be able to keep their doors open. I reccomend avoiding the flight program like a plague unless you have lot of money, a lot of time, and a lot of patience. Embry-Riddle is not a name that carries the weight it used to and instead of getting their act together, the university would rather deny it. I know it sounds like I am just bitter and complaining, but I assure you I would not be upset had I been given the quality I supposedly paid for. I know ERAU has the ability to provide quality because I have seen it, and that is what upsets me. The university should have taken my complaints seriously and taken care of the financial damage to me (no more) because what it allowed was wrong and by denial and protecting those who cheated me the university became just as dishonest as those flight instructors and the mangement who attempted to ignore it.
