Well, overall I think the school is pretty sweet. It really depends on who you are, but it really has alot to offer for a lot of people. There is a really diverse population, so racists beware, you wont last long. The cafeteria food is ok, but youll probably spend most of your flex points on the food court. Theres a lot of things to do for the active folk(sports/theatre/etc.) And for those just trying to party, you can usually find a frat trap or random party to get into. For those of us more daring, you can always have a dorm shindig. As an added bonus, ladies have a lot better time ANYWHERE. As a warning, the campus is pretty crucial about drinking though, so dont get caught. The greatest downside to this place is a newly implemented program called NewPage, its a freshman requirement, and is the WORST CLASS IN THE WORLD. We are the only school that has this, and its a complete waste of your F'n time. Im serious, its bad. But as with any city, it also has some crime problems, Ive been approached twice by drug dealers in cars. No danger, but its there. A few frinds have been robbed, but it was few and far between, just dont walk alone. Ghent, a town down the road, is a pretty cool place for the artsy types (Naro theatre, coffee shops, etc.) And downtown Norfolk is packed full of things to do. For those musically inclined, The Norva is amazing. The Ted Constant Center is really just focused on basketball, they dont schedule alot of good events. Overall a good place, and not bad for the money youll put into it. Hit me up for any questions.
