I'm a dozen years removed from "Camp Babo" and it seems, after reading student comments, that not much has changed. In retrospect, I wish I had attended a liberal arts college. Basically, the Babson experience prepares you to interview. Does the "name" open doors? Not really. It provides an education on how to get into a profession, but the rest is up to you. Expand your mind at another school, don't simply learn how to be a grunt at Babson, trust me.

As for campus social life, or lack there of, it can be summed up in the "type" of student the college attracts… the affluent, overachieving (or so he believes), white male. With a student population of perhaps 65% of this "type", how much fun can there be?

My advice, visit the beautiful campus (though it's becoming less so due to overbuilding), check out the sweet cars in the parking lot, then walk away and spend four years at Bates, Colby, Bowdoin, Middlebury, Hamilton, or even Boston College (for those less scholarly). You'll be happier, a much more rounded person, and have far more permanent contacts in the business world once you graduate.
