LR is small college that has some good parts bad. It just depends on your major and you're personal preference in a college. Good things about LR is that you can concentrate better on studies since there are smaller classes and its a very small school. Some advisors are really helpful and acessible when you need them. You get to know most of your student body. The greek life is good here too. Bad things, the food is terrible and the technology resources are bad. For example, the internet is usually not working. There is nothing interssting to do on the weekends if you plan to stay on campus on the weekends. Its dead here when Friday rolls around. Being from the city, I realized a lot of people are closeminded and a little discrimanatory. Since this such a small school, it feels kind of like high school and if you do anything, everyone knows about it. The big problem though is the finacial aid department. This school is all about getting your money but it doesn't go towards fixing the bad food or the poor technology. So really i dont know where the money goes. The school has a habit of also getting some students in trouble with their finacial aid when they are ready to registar for classes. I have seen this happen to many of my friends and other people: when they go to registar for classes, they discover that their finacial aid is not all together and they must go talk to 50 different people before they find out what the problem is. Then they find out that they owe a large amount of money they can't possible pay immediately. These students either transfer out or somehow fix the situation and dont get the classes they wanted anyway.
