Louisburg College may at one point have been a good school, but now this college is so focused on 1.) Athletics (particularly baseball, basketball, and football) and 2.) Money to care about actually giving people an education. I go to class and relearn stuff from the sixth grade (they refuse to put students in a math class higher than remedial level in most colleges unless they got 5's on their AP exams), be bored by teachers who seem to have gotten one of those degrees that you buy off of eBay, and deal with alcoholics who blame me for their troubles.

Are you a smart kid? Well, you won't fit in at Loserburg (as students call it). There are people at Loserburg who got a 400 on their SAT, 1.5 GPAs in high school, and have been arrested for violent crimes. They'll take anyone. Maybe that is why the police seem to always be at the school serving papers to students. If you can, live off campus - on campus is a waste of your money, because your drunk neighbors will be listening to music and singing along at 5 AM the day before exams, your roommate will walk in at 4 AM talking on her cell phone like she's at a concert, and people will disrespect your privacy (and your stuff) daily.

I went for athletics - most of the smart kids are there because of athletics or because they live nearby and are getting scholarships. Don't let them seduce you. While you will get to play in your chosen sport, the moment you get back to dorms you'll have to do pages of math problems that are akin to 'What is 1+2?' (In fact, in one of the math books there was a problem that said 'What is 5+7?')
