Major: Political Science (This Major's Salary over time)
There is a high transfer rate, mostly because some people really miss boys (especially a long distance boyfriend) or were not prepared to have so few parties. Most parties occur at Haverford which is just a convienent busride away, but the few I have gone to there are pretty lame—mostly people drinking beer and standing around in circles talking, which is not conducive to meeting people. At least the few parties we have at Bryn Mawr, we generally do it right. But really parties are not that important, or at least if they are to you then you probably shouldn't apply to Bryn Mawr. If you are perfectly fine with instead seeing a concert or performance, or watching a movie with dormmates, or even getting drunk playing "Never Have I Ever" with friends on the weekends, then you will be perfectly happy. For me there always seem to be plenty of things to do and I'm pretty happy with my social life. Bryn Mawr has some really good people.Bryn Mawr has a really great atmosphere; Freshman especially are made very welcome. There is very little stealing of things other than laundry detergent, and most people are very friendly, honest, and caring. How could your social life be bad with people like that around?
