Major: Biology (This Major's Salary over time)
Luther is a great place. It's not huge, which makes peoople individuals rather than numbers, but coming from a small school it's big enough to feel like a community. People here care- there are tons of tutoring opportunities and professors are incredibly willing to help if you need it. Social life and extracurriculars are here, although depending on the person, may be more or less enjoyable; Decorah (the town) is great for road/mountain biking, hiking, rollerblading, canoeing, etc… it's great for outdoorsy things. Luther's not exactly a cultural mecca, but there are lots of things brought in- concerts, performances, etc- that makes it feel more diverse. There's also more diversity here in the student body than you may think.Advice: Go on an "official" tour but also wander around campus on your own. Go in the dorms, look in the bathrooms, maybe talk to some students (Luther students are really friendly and will talk willingly). This will give you a perspective of what life is really like here. If you're a music student or athlete, go play a piano/practice in a practice room, or check out the athletic center. Be sure to eat in the caf, and stay in a room (or at least visit one in each freshman dorm) as well.
