Major: Aerospace Engineering (This Major's Salary over time)
My experience at Spartan was a fast paced one that dumped me out with a low paying job. At that time the "career" center was not aiding well for job placement. I landed a job for H&P in Wyoming and was there for 3 years. That was a fun time. I worked on OLD aircraft and things broke all the time. The deal there is, all the teachers skipped over most of the "old" systems and said that none of us would ever see them. Well I even to this day see those systems. I currently work for Erickson Air-Crane as a Lead Manufacturing Engineering Tech. I started out on the shop floor at a low rate there too. I saw that I needed to advance. So I began to build my character and associate with key people and transferred off the shop and into the engineering dept. Now I am still dissatisfied and not getting paid all that well. Aviation is not keeping up with the cost of living. Here shortly I will be out of working in aviation and onto my own enterprise for greater satisfaction.
