My best advise for anyone planning to go into a specific career or job is to spend some time talking with a person who is already working in your chosen field. Find out what their day to day work life is really like. Talk with them about positives and negatives of working in the field. Ask them what they would have done differently or the same. Also, talk to more than one person. Get several viewpoints.
