I had a nightmare experience at Santa Clara. I went to the school enamored by the beautiful campus, awesome location, fantastic weather and solid academic program. However, being from out of state, I didn't know anyone to room with freshman year so I went pot luck. I ended up with this guy from out of the country, a very smart Asian. At first I didn't mind him too much. He was quiet, he kept to himself and he wasn't very social, but we got along fine. Then one day on campus someone came up to me and asked me why I was showing myself changing clothes and other things on camera. I didn't know what he was talking about, so I went to his room and he showed me a website. Low and behold, pictures and movies of me naked, changing clothes, and other things were right on camera! This didn't anger me completely until I saw pictures and movies of my sister, who had come to visit me during one of the weekends, naked and with inappropriate captions. I was fuming and angered beyond belief. I went into the dorm room and tried to find the cameras, I did and I destroyed them. My sicko roommate was setting up his own version of a prone site. After that, I went to the housing authorities to report the incident and to switch into a new room. They were so unhelpful it disgusted me. They claimed there was nothing they could do, that I was stuck with the guy until next year and that they couldn't discipline him. That was the last straw. I stayed at friends place until the end of the year and then transfered out of the school. I never saw my roommate again. It's too bad, because I liked the school, but there lack of help and concern in that issue made me lose faith and concluded to myself that I needed out of there.

Whoa! I just want to let you know that is illegal. You could have taken legal action against this sicko! Your college may not care but the police will! I really hope you follow up on this and if need be, contact the dean at the school!

I am a faculty member. You should contact the Santa Clara Police (their department is across the street from the school) and report this felon. Then you and your sister should sue him.
