I have attended Baylor for almost two years. In my opinion, the education I have received thus far has not been worth the $50,000+ price tag. I truly believe that I could be receiving a very comparable or even better academic and social experience at a state school. I am staying here because I don't want to lose credits, move, lose my scholarship, etc. Like most private, Southern universities, the social life revolves around being Greek. Most of the parties on the weekend are Greek-affiliated, and if you aren't Greek, you probably won't even know about them, much less be welcome. Even on-campus events are Greek-hosted. If you are not super-outgoing and not in a fraternity or a sorority, you will have a difficult time socially. Like everyone else says, yes, most of the kids here are very well-off. Most everyone has daddy's credit card and three Louis Vuitton purses at home in their fancy apartment. People here are friendly, but standoffish. Many of the women and men here are ridiculously good-looking, with beautiful hair, clothes, and cars. The school is known for having excellent professors, and it's true. The professors do really want to get to know you and help you.
