Pacific is an amazing school. It's not as difficult to get into as ivy league equivalents, but the education is the same often using the same books Harvard or MIT are using. The difference is smaller class sizes and faculty who bend over backwards helping you. If you don't make use of the amazing faculty here then your likely to feel overwhelmed by the coursework. That said there are the occasional blow off classes, but most serious students don't take them. Don't go to Pacific if your not ready for a small college experience otherwise you wont enjoy it. It's a great school to have a few friends, go to the city on the weekends, and be serious about your academics. After graduating my letters of recommendation, which I was fortunately allowed to read, almost brought tears to my eyes they were so moving in their praise. Come here for a personal touch and high academics not to party. One last bit of advice. Pacific has a huge Hawaiian population of students. Most will not want to be friends or get to know you very much if your not Hawaiian. They are pleasant and friendly in the class but its two campuses with regards to relationships and friends after a time you get used to it. I think its just a cultural thing.
