Major: Civil Engineering (This Major's Salary over time)
The quality of my education was incredible. ALL of our professors had been or still were PRACTICING PROFESSIONAL Engineers. They had the PHD's and knew the theory. In addition, they had real professional experience and knew the real world also. While in college, I could see the value of the small student to teacher ratio. It wasn't until after working and talking with professional colleagues the full extent of that advantage. Big schools like to publicize factoids and impressive achievements but the real question is "do undergraduates get to participate?" At WWC, I was able to use and learn from the best that the school was able to offer. In comparison, colleagues at big state schools never even got close to those well publicized research facilities. They ended up using resources much below those offered to us.
