I got to Edison College in Fort Myers. The school is OK, but defiiiiiinately nothing special. The landscaping is very nice, some of the teachers are alright, but the quality of education is terrible. I suppose for a community college that is to be expected, but still.. The work load is very easy, assignments aren't challenging, some of the students are possibly brighter than the professors. The real problem is that this school doesn't nurture people as individuals. Students are a number, intellectuals who look too deeply into the lessons are surprisingly frowned upon. There are no campus housing, and sometimes parking can be a serious drag. Very few opportunities to really make friends, there is nothing that brings the "Edison community" together. I have managed to make a few, but overall my experience was a total drag and I can't wait to get out.
