Major: Biology (This Major's Salary over time)
Depending on going to UNLV should require you to understand what you want to major in. If you want a Business related major, you're going to LOVE UNLV, because that's what the school is known for. Another other major, and the school is average at best.Good: The School is has lots of brand new buildings. In 4 years I've been here, there have been construction of: New student union, Wright Hall, Desert Complex, New Student Recreation Center, Addition to parking garage, and Science/engineering/technology building. Bad: There's ALWAYS construction on campus. I don't know HOW many times I"ve been late to class, because streets were shut down, traffic was a nightmare, or construction crews were moving equipment around, halting traffic. Bad: UNLV is in a shitty neighborhood of Las Vegas. We've had a number of incidents were knife-fights/shootings from around campus ended up ON campus. You get lots of homeless people and bums at night, trying to break into buildings to find a place to sleep.Good: You're close to Las Vegas strip… but heck, that's only if you're over 21 does it even matter. Sorry, Freshman, you have a few years to wait to even ENJOY the city.
